Masato has been working in the travel industry for over 15 years.
He is currently the CEO of his own sales & marketing company named RT Collection LLC which helps clients to enter the Japanese market and maintain their business. He conducts sales & marketing action plans on a regular basis.
During his university studies, Masato spent one year in Tasmania (Australia) and was so touched by the city and nature that he decided to pursue a career in the travel industry. After university, he joined ST World, a well-known tour operator specialising in Japanese outbound travel. As a Product Manager for beach destinations such as Thailand (Phuket and Koh Samui) and Bali, he promoted niche and unique islands and resorts to the Japanese.
In 2011, Masato was assigned to Manila (Philippines) as a General Manager tasked with establishing a branch office, launching a travel outsourcing department and managing a team of over 50 Filipino staff. This department would centralise all reservation functions for destinations such as Maldives, New Caledonia, Mexico, Dubai and Canada.
Masato successfully organised the first chartered flight from Tokyo to Kalibo (Boracay, Philippines) for the Japanese market, conducting seven chartered flights in total between 2014 and 2017. In 2016, he was tasked with opening a branch office on Boracay Island, and as it would be the first Japanese tour operator office there, he was a pioneer in developing the destination.
Masato holds a Bachelor of Foreign Studies and Communication from Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka. He speaks Japanese, English and some Tagalog.
